The gateway to the short walk gives a Maori warm welcome as you enter the cool native forest where the water meanders clear and cold into tranquil pools, once used as birthing pools by the Maori women.  The moss and Lichen covered trees and water-worn marble rock create a fairyland quality perfect for romance.
