Sail away wedding in the Abel Tasman National Park

The Story

The brief was an easy relaxed wedding day in the park for a fun loving couple and a handful of good friends. Everything was as simple as you could make it, with homemade in season heather bouquet and a homemade cake. We provided the sailing boat, photographer and the catering and of course my Department of Conservation management permit and celebrant service. The morning was spent with the little motor taking us into the Abel Tasman National Park passing Split Apple Rock on the way for a photoshoot opportunity. The ceremony came together in a very casual way but was so intimate and beautiful, which lead to a hilarious photo shoot, with an eye patched guest, who I’m not sure really lost his eye or was just playing captain of the ship for a laugh. My job really is a very fun job to have and days like these just fill me and them with joy.
