Memories made of Sandcastles and Sunshine

The Story

Our couple came from England to our beautiful New Zealand shores for an intimate micro wedding with only very close family and friends. Alex, the groom had been instrumental in the planning and during one conversation he mentioned, how he had not played on the beach since he was a young boy and talked about making sandcastles. As Alex walked onto the boat on the day of the wedding, I handed him an orange child’s castle shaped bucket and spade set, raptures of laughter took place but what happened next was completely spontaneous. While Hannah, the bride changed into her wedding dress in a pop up tent, Alex took to creating a circle of sandcastles for each of their guests to stand by and the styling was done! It really added that personal touch. We often rely on natures back drop for our styling but this just added something very special. The rest of the day was enjoyed with a scenic boat charter and ample tasty Tasman artisan flavours, local craft beer and boutique wine and lots of cheer and song.

What a perfect day from start to finish, it has been amazing. Thank you very much Terri and the team. We have had a magical wedding day and couldn’t have dreamed of anything more perfect. We loved the bucket and spades, which inspired our sandcastle circle of love.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
