The Abel Tasman National Park - Tonga Arches

The Abel Tasman National Park

The Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand and is well known for its beautiful golden sands and opaque waters.

The large sand spit at Adele Island s one of our most popular ceremony and photography locations and only accessible by private or licensed charter boat, with a landing permit.  The charter takes you from Kaiteriteri or Marahau into the park where there are extensive ancient native forests along the popular walking tracks.  With our typical high sunshine hours this location can be enjoyed throughout the year..

There are many beautiful beaches to choose from and your experience can be combined with a fun activity like kayaking, where you can explore further into coves and caves at your own leisure  The park offers stunning views and close encounters with the wild life. We recommend a full day but no less than 4 hours is possible.

There are lodges within the park or you can stay at Moonraker House at Split Apple Rock, where the charter can collect you. All can provide you with a wedding-moon experience.

This is one of the most popular national parks and we recommend the outer season for most privacy, however because we provide a private charter we can get you to the islands and beaches with limited access with confidence that privacy can be enjoyed.

There is walking, water and helicopter access. There are a variety of options available. Please contact us to discuss which option suits you and your budget.
